Addiction Support Group, Hope Is Here
Red Letters, Black Coffee is the first open addiction and recovery group at The Loft. It started back in 2020 when The Loft was founded and is led by Michael Emanuel, Executive director, Restoration Springs. RLBC originally began at the onset of Covid-19 as an opportunity to meet the needs of those struggling with addiction. It has since remained the same but also become a safe place for others who admittedly say,
“Life is hard, and this is what I’m going through” or perhaps “I want to share what God has done for me since we last met.”
Freedom Through Faith in God
Drug addiction and alcoholism can cause people intense shame, regret and fear. Secrecy and isolation are part and parcel of the cycle of addiction. Red Letters Black Coffee is a support group seeking to help those in the recovery process offering a sense of fellowship, support and belonging that help influence the road to recovery. RLBC provides a comfortable, safe non-judgmental environment where all are welcome no matter where thet are on the road to recovery. Family members and those offering support are also very welcome to attend. A meal will be provided before the meeting begins at The Loft in downtown Fayette, Alabama.
Recovery is Possible
When you feel like you’re drowning in life, don’t worry – your Lifeguard walks on water. Here at The Loft we don’t want to just treat symptoms, but see Jesus change hearts by surrounding others with the love of God.
What if you are one conversation, one hug, one listening ear away from finally realizing you deserve to love yourself enough that addiction no longer serves you? Support groups like Red Letters Black Coffee are here for you. We are a listening ear, a big long hug, a yummy meal all waiting on you to come to the table of self love and surrender. If addiction plagues you or recovery has been hard, come join us tonight at 7pm at The Loft. Everyone is welcome and we want you there!
All are welcome. You do not have to have a drug or alcohol problem to attend. Just be human!
